Opportunity Gifts
You can make a meaningful difference by choosing an opportunity gift from our program areas: girls, women, or learning.
When you purchase an opportunity gift, you can send a personalized card to a friend or family member in their honour. Celebrate a special occasion while also helping to send a girl to school, support women in a literacy class, or fill the shelves at the Longido District Learning Centre with books. If you make your gift a monthly gift, your recipient will know that you are thinking of them all year long, with regular updates from our Reaching for Change Club.
Opportunities for Girls
Help a Girl Stay in School
In Tanzania, only 32% of girls make the transition from primary to secondary school. Poverty, early marriage, and lack of resources often stand in their way. Since 2007, TEMBO has partnered with the community in Longido District to change this reality—sponsoring more than 650 girls to attend secondary school. Many of these girls have gone on to complete Form 4, and today, they are pursuing vocational training or university studies, building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Opportunities for Women
Empower Women in the Heart of the Maasai Community
TEMBO works at the heart of the Maasai community, where women have long faced significant challenges—early and forced marriage, limited access to education, and few opportunities to participate fully in family or community life.
Your support helps break this cycle. By investing in education, skills training, and community-based programs, you are empowering women to build better futures for themselves and the next generation.

She Can Sew!

The women are also learning basic literacy and numeracy skills required to run a small sewing business. Funds will be used to purchase sewing machines for the women upon graduation.
